Congressman Mike Michaud‘s representative has office hours here at the LF’s Town Office on the second Tuesday each month, from 3 to 4 pm. Stop by and see Matt Dubois, he’s interested in any suggestions, or problems you’d like to address.
DOG WARRANT unlicensed dogs will now get a visit from the Animal Control Officer (ACO) and a $25 increase in fees.
The Town Clock, located in the tower on the Bank Building, is in need of repairs. We are collecting donations to fix this 1902 Seth Thomas time piece. Estimates show $10,000 will be needed. Click here to learn more
The town committees need some citizen participation:
- Our Appeals Board meets as needed and has two openings. There has been little activity for them the last two years, but when there is a call, we need ‘em - right then.
- The Board of Assessment Review has two openings, and they meet as needed.
- The Planning Board has one opening. It meets once per month, and is invited to downtown planning meetings, and several Selectmens’ meetings each year.
- The Budget Committee will meet late winter. If you are interested please contact one of the Selectmen.
Channel 7 needs volunteers to tape events, meetings and games. Training will be provided. Contact Mac Haines at 897-3428.
